Academic Scholarships

Apply now for 2026

Applications for Academic Scholarships for students entering Years 7 to 11 in 2026 and students entering Year 7 in 2027 are now open.

Academic Scholarships provide a partial remission of tuition fees commencing in Year 7, or a later year of entry, until the end of Year 12, subject to a semester review.

Academic Scholarships are awarded on the basis of outstanding results achieved in scholarship testing, previous academic records and an interview with the Headmaster or his delegate. Students can sit the scholarship test in Years 5 to 10. The earliest scholarship commences in Year 7.

Academic Scholarships FAQ

Both tests are very similar for students. The School receives different data from each provider. While we prefer AAS, we regularly award scholarships to boys who have only sat the ACER exam.

Yes. Scholarship percentages are determined by several factors including test results, school reports and interviews with the Deputy Headmaster.

The percentage offered will vary depending on the factors listed above.

The number of scholarships offered varies every year depending on applicants, though it is often between 12 and 15.

No. Scholarship testing is done annually in February each year. Boys can keep testing for scholarships each year until Year 10.

We appreciate that many boys are engaged in many things, however, an academic scholarship is a very valuable opportunity worth the time given to the testing.
